At school he was
a very versatile child: a freestyle wrestling, carpentry and folklore club. He skillfully made models of yurts (a traditional Buryat dwelling) from wood with the interior decoration and sculpted horses from plasticine (his favorite animals). He liked to imagine how his ancestors lived and create compositions of traditional Buryat life with his own hands. Who could see that in a couple
of decades Alexander will be able to make Morin Khuur instruments from wood.
As Alexander says his mother made influence in choosing
a profession. She recognized his talent early: her son sang beautifully and picked up chords on the guitar skillfully. After high school Alexander made the decision to choose the technical direction, but still his mother advised him to apply to the Music College named after P. I. Tchaikovsky in Ulan-Ude. And that’s exactly where the future musician entered the department of Buryat instruments to the Morin Khuur class.
He began learning the ancient art of throat singing on his own back in high school. And the first Mongolian Morin Khuur presented by parents in the first year of college and costing
a lot of money at that time still serves its owner faithfully
to this day.
After studying Alexander worked in the Buryat State Philharmonic, the orchestra of Buryat folk instruments named after Chingis Pavlov of The Buryat State national theatre of song and dance «Baikal»; went on tour in France; took part
in collaborations with talented musicians from all over the world.
And from the student bench he had one thought about creating his own group in style of world music. He wanted to travel around the world and introduce listeners to his work. Years later Alexander finally fulfilled his dream…
In March 2014 at the Zagurskiy Irkutsk State Musical Theater one group debuted with great success and it was called SHONO.
Alexander’s creative path is as unique as his talent. When he was
a school student he never thought that his profession would be related to art and much less music. Alexander was born
in the village of Bilchir, in the Osinsky district of Irkutsk oblast
in a very great, friendly and talented family.
